          Well, here goes, many vertical photos, I hope they work for me this time. I so want to share my daughter's view of things because I love her eye... as well as the rest of her, of course. Thank you, R, and it's always a treat to be able to do a mostly R post!

p.s.. I am still somewhat hampered by the changes Blogspot has made, but at least I managed to include some basic items. I will hope next week to continue to make progress. If not, I will take it all out on a super rant about the current political situation, which never disappoints for being appalling and even dangerous.  Thanks for taking a chance here, and thank you, Rebecca, for letting me use your photos today:

The next two photos were posted on my blog a few years ago, but they are special. The photographer is JOHN FLAVELL. This is the same waterfall of last week's photos, but they were even more beautiful the day he was there.  I love the second photo, which shows a detail from the middle of the first photo. Magical. Thank you, John, for loving these woods of ours, and for sharing your views of this place.

diverted again, this time by the creek!

       Cold and snow were forecast for yesterday, despite the APRIL date.  Who would believe it! I am lucky that my photographing daughter, with T, almost 7, and the two dogs, reluctantly set out for the creek and the waterfalls. Yet, despite the cold, it turned out to be a magical adventure. I have never been down there right after a covering snow. So, thank you, family, for sharing your winter wonderland via these photos. Good job!

This is my favorite of her photos, at the top of the first waterfall. There would have been no snow to see had they not gone down until the afternoon. Again, thank you, thank you. This is what a swamp is not.....
